Impact
Health's CR policy sets out the CR commitments made by the Company
and is supported by a number of Company policies, such as its HR
policy, SHE policy and Code of Conduct. These standards outline the
Company’s
framework for managing those commitments.
Responsibilities
Senior
management is accountable for ensuring that all activities
under their control are carried out in accordance
with Impact Health’s
CR policy. They are responsible for compliance with the CR policy,
setting CR objectives and CR performance. They are also responsible
for implementing management systems and action programs
based on group policies
and standards.
This policy shall be clearly communicated to all employees.
All staff shall demonstrate personal responsibility in carrying
out their job tasks and act in conformance with company commitments.
They
shall be encouraged to raise any ethical concerns they may have
with management. Management will ensure that the Company’s
employees have the necessary understanding and skills to carry
out their work
in accordance with Impact Health's CR commitments.
The CR Committee is responsible for the development, implementation and review
of Impact Health's CR Program and will promptly notify Board of any significant
issues.
Management
of CR
The CR Committee will periodically make recommendations to the
Board to ensure that responsibilities and accountabilities for CR management
are clearly
defined and that appropriate skills and resources are in place to implement
the CR
policy and commitments.
The Committee will identify and assess the CR issues related to Impact Health's
business on a regular basis. At a minimum these will include:
• Ethical
issues including
• Labor standards and human rights
• Impact on local communities
• Safety, health and environment
• Sales and marketing practices
• Impact of supply network
Based
on the issue analysis, the CR Committee will develop a company wide
CR priority action plan with clear objectives and actions and, where
appropriate, performance indicators in key CR areas. The
overall aim is to show demonstrable progress in
maximizing the Company’s positive impacts and minimizing its
negative impacts.
The management of CR issues will be integrated into all areas of business activity,
throughout sales and marketing, acquisition and divestment.
Communication
and Consultation
Impact Health will communicate openly
with external and internal stakeholders.
Arrangements will be in place for investigating any concerns raised about Impact
Health's CR policy or performance by staff or external parties and, where appropriate,
ensuring that these concerns are addressed.
Monitoring,
Reviewing and Improving Performance
Impact Health will
make arrangements for reviewing the overall effectiveness of its CR programs,
which will include an annual review, which examines all
aspect of local performance, compliance with legal and company requirements
and progress against objectives. Based on this review, the CR programs and
objectives will be revised and implemented by management.
Each year the Board will review the Company’s CR program and
set new objectives in light of emerging issues and progress
against current objectives.
