Hiring Tips for Travel Nurses

An interview in the travel nurse world is a bit different than a “regular” job interview. Managers know a decent bit about you ahead of time — they know what shift you want to work, they know you aren’t looking to move into other areas or up the career ladder at their hospital, and they don’t necessarily worry if you are involved in unit council or hospital initiatives.

Their interviews are usually structured more around your experience and how it will fit into their unit. Occasionally you will get more in depth questions like “What is your biggest accomplishment as a nurse?” or other stereotypical questions, but overall do not plan for that.
